Job Description

WORK, HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Be the go-to contact for employees and managers, delivering timely support and guidance while building strong working relationships
  • Play a key role across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding to help create a seamless employee experience

 

  • Take ownership of WHS and workerscompensation records, keeping systems accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate incident reporting and ensure all compliance documentation is complete and timely
  • Support the claims process, working closely with injured workers, insurers, and brokers to facilitate smooth outcomes
  • Assist with return-to-work planning and track key requirements to ensure nothing is missed

 

  • Contribute to WHS reporting, documentation and initiatives that improve safety and workplace processes
  • Implement, train staff lead by example system usage of Assignar for records management.
  • Daily WHS responsibilities for compliance, company policies and procedures,
  • Promoting the culture that supports in the delivery of a safe workplace.
  • Reduce risk, raise awareness and improve practices in line with legislation, regulation, codes of practice and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and report on anomalies for improvement
  • Attend and present in the weekly Operations meeting

 

  • Develop & monitor training for staff, ensure certificates are up to date, to mitigate and identify emerging risks.
  • You will oversee incident investigations, including reporting
  • Return to work coordination and organising light work duties
  • Implement and coordinate evacuation training,
  • Conduct audits on high-risk activities and site inspections.
  • Provide ongoing health and safety advice to Supervisors, Sub- Contractors, and site workers to eliminate or minimise hazards
  • Coach, mentor, and support personnel to continually improve the culture and performance of the project team.
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental management systems and practices
