THE ROLE
Labour Connect is seeking experienced and dependable Forklift Drivers to join a busy international freight terminal based in Matraville.
Working within a fast-paced cargo environment, you will be responsible for supporting daily freight operations, ensuring cargo is moved safely, efficiently, and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operating forklifts to load, unload and transport freight
• Moving and handling international cargo within a secure terminal environment
• Assisting with sorting, scanning and manual handling of freight
• Ensuring all safety and operational procedures are followed
• Working collaboratively within a high-performing team
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred)
• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Minimum 6 months forklift operating experience
• Availability to work a rotating roster Monday to Sunday (AM/PM & weekends)
• Ability to complete manual handling tasks (25kg–35kg)
• Strong reliability and attendance record
• Reliable transport to and from Matraville

THE ROLE

DUTIES

The primary purpose of this role is to provide customer service to both internal and external customers for all customers (food service and retail). This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of orders (input and invoicing) and the booking of the relevant transport. They ensure that all goods are dispatched with all relevant documentation, in full and on time. They communicate any issues with the customers and team.

- Process of purchase orders into relevant system/s along with booking of necessary transport
- Providing information and help to solve customer problems regarding their purchase orders inclusive of out of stocks, pricing and substitute products available.
- Maintain communication with customers, logistics teams, and other departments to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any delivery issues or delays.
- Ensure all orders are booked into relevant transport portal with correct paperwork to ensure customer DOT requirements
- Ensure all orders are available for picking and processing with both ERP and WMS systems
- Ensuring positive customer service is provided.
- Accurate processing of orders in timely manner with relevant documentation
