THE ROLE
 
Labour Connect is proactively seeking experienced Friable and Non-Friable Asbestos Labourers for immediate starts. This is a hands-on role working across asbestos removal and demolition projects.
 
You will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient removal of asbestos-containing materials, demolition works and general labouring duties while following all relevant safety procedures and site requirements.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Assisting with Class A (Friable) and Class B (Non-Friable) asbestos removal works

• Performing demolition and general labouring duties on construction sites

• Setting up and maintaining work areas in accordance with site safety requirements

• Correctly handling, removing and disposing of asbestos-containing materials

• Following all asbestos removal procedures, safety guidelines and site instructions

• Using appropriate PPE and maintaining a safe working environment

• Assisting trades and supervisors with general site duties as required

• Maintaining clean and organised work areas throughout each project

 
THE ESSENTIALS
 

• Valid Class A (Friable) or Class B (Non-Friable) Asbestos Removal Licence/Ticket

• Valid White Card

• Previous experience in asbestos removal and/or demolition

• Demolition ticket/licence preferred but not essential

• Current mask fit test preferred but not essential

• Any additional construction tickets or qualifications will be highly regarded
