Passenger Services Administrator Officer Reports to: General Manager Ground Handling - NSW Location: Sydney International Airport
Overview
To provide administrative support to the Sydney Passenger Services Department.
Main accountabilities include:
• Maintaining employee payroll data entry.
• Maintaining employee files, including absenteeism calendars and training records.
• Assisting with the recruitment and preparation process for new employees.
• Uniform accountability and records kept on sizes in stock. Record keeping of uniforms signed for and issued to staff.
• Invoices date stamped, photo copied, one copy stamped as copy and then both copies handed to Manager.
• Banking - Reconcile excess baggage daily, bank weekly, email reports.
• Take all payroll, invoice and petty cash documents to Finance weekly.
• Ordering and stocktake of stationary.
• Responsible for Workers compensation administration, ensuring documents are filled out and lodged on the day of incident.
• Responsible for personal files to be kept up to date weekly.
• Sign on sheets and staff phone numbers kept up to date weekly.
• Collect all sign on paper work from Supervisors’ office
• Ensure all staff pigeon holes kept up to date.
• Ensure all staff are allocated a pigeon hole and locker and keep record of allocations.
• Administration of petty cash.
• Filing of documents and paperwork.
• Coordinate repair of office and communication equipment and upkeep of associated records.
• Answering and resolving pay queries for staff.
• Additional duties as requested by General Manager.

• Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
• Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
• Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
• Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.
An employee who impedes the implementation of a safe and healthy system of work, or puts themselves or others at risk by not following health and safety procedures or by engaging in horseplay, will face serious disciplinary action. Endangering the health and safety of people, is considered in most Countries and States to be a breach of law, and enforcing officials (e.g. fire officers, local health and safety authority) could bring prosecutions against the Company, Company Directors, Management and employees alike.
Qualifications and Experience
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High level attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi task.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation administration.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work within a fast paced team environment.
• Sound accounting knowledge and numerical skills.
