THE ROLE

 

Labour Connect is seeking experienced Freight Handlers and Forklift Drivers to join a busy international freight terminal at Brisbane Airport.

 

Working in a fast-paced cargo environment, you will support daily freight operations and ensure cargo is moved safely, efficiently and on time.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Operating forklifts to load, unload and move freight
  • Handling and sorting international cargo
  • Scanning and processing freight
  • Manual handling of freight up to 35kg
  • Following strict safety and operational procedures
  • Working as part of a busy team

 

ABOUT YOU

 

To be successful, you will have:

 

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current LF Forklift Licence – forklift positions
  • Minimum 6 months forklift operating experience
  • MUST be available to work a rotating Monday–Sunday roster
  • MUST be flexible to work shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM and finishing as late as 2:00 AM
  • Weekend and public holiday availability is required
  • Reliable transport – public transport is not suitable
  • Strong reliability and attendance
  • Previous warehouse, freight or dockhand experience is advantageous
  • Ability to perform physical manual handling duties
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

 

Due to the airport environment, successful applicants will be required to complete:

  • Police Check
  • Airport Security Check
